Brandy J is a gospel recording artist born and raised in Rochester, NY. She is also a songwriter extraordinaire that has released original music faithfully since 2018.

Her projects consist of her debut EP “Faith over Fear” and her EP Spiritual Warfare. In 2019, she also released her hit single “I Declare” which took the gospel airwaves by storm and continues to encourage those around the world.

In the beginning phases of her career, she opened up for the likes of Leandria Johnson, Bishop Paul Morton Sr., Marvin Sapp, James Fortune, and Kierra Sheard. Brandy J has captured the ears and hearts of gospel listeners with her authentic and unique sound. Her fusion of jazz, gospel, R&B, and pop presents a fresh perspective on how to share the gospel in a creative and special way.

She also is the CEO of her own independent record label called “Flat-Footed Records” circa 2018. Under the umbrella of Flat-Footed Records, she has diversified her business by creating an online platform called “The Olive” which is a space for Black creatives to share their love for God through music. Brandy J has aspiring hopes of bringing into fruition a foundation called “The Flat-Footed Records” foundation that will aim to provide free instruments and singing lessons to the youth in her local community.

In her spare time, Brandy J loves writing and listening to all genres of music, learning music production, attending musical theater plays, and spending time with her friends, family, and church family. But her favrotie time is spent with her husband Jalen and their daughter Braelynn.

Brandy J continually expresses her love for God in her own God-given way, whilst remaining fearless and faith-filled.
